Artist's Description
There are very few free ranging buffalo left in North America. Due to over hunting by the settlers, by 1925 it was estimated that only 4,400 American Buffalo were left. Now, thanks to the preservation efforts, there are around 35,000 healthy buffalo living in North America today. These Buffalo live at the buffalo preserve at Zion Mountain Ranch. They are not owned by the ranch, or anyone else and roam freely throughout the preserve.
